Betsy Price, former mayor of Fort Worth, was the gracious Honorary Chair of the Third Annual New Hope Gala. Her presence certainly energized the crowd.
Betsy spoke about first learning of New Hope at Chisholm Challenge. She also spoke very highly of our programs. She also shared experiences from her time as mayor and her years of public speaking.
She was readily available for pictures with anyone who asked. I’ll let the pictures do the talking. We were so lucky to have her as honorary chair!
I’ll leave you with this quote from her speech that resonated with those in attendance and summed up the reason we were all there:
“This is Texas – who doesn’t love horses?”
Ride on and ride for hope.
