Cyndy Roark is a native of the Dallas area who has always loved the outdoors and horses. In 2021, Cyndy began volunteering at New Hope. It became her home away from home and a respite after a long day. After volunteering with riding classes primarily of tweens and teens at New Hope for a year or so she was inspired to change careers and go into education, working at a middle school. Cyndy was honored at the 2023 New Hope Gala as the first recipient of New Hope’s Volunteer of the Year award. In 2025 Cyndy was brought on staff to implement Hangin’ With Horses, a non-riding program at New Hope for those who simply want a relationship with a horse.
