We hope everyone had a great Christmas with family! But now we turn all of our attention to Chisholm Challenge, January 13 -15 at John Justin and Will Rogers arenas at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo (FWSSR). The event is the unofficial opening to FWSSR. In fact, the arenas and other amenities are donated to Chisholm Challenge (CC) by FWSSR.

Practice has begun at New Hope for the 2 man and 4 man drill team competitions. Riding lessons have also been geared toward CC events that the particular riders are participating in at Chisholm for some time.

The four man drill team – pictured above and to the left – practiced on Friday and Sunday, December 20 & 22. The song for their routine is “Alice” from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. You are going to want to come to Ft. Worth and watch the drill teams at lunchtime on Tuesday in John Justin Arena. Parking is free. The equine therapy centers that enter in the drill team competition come up with interesting and entertaining routines. That is particularly true for Susan and the riders at New Hope. Chances are they will sneak in another practice before Chisholm. And after the drill team competition, stay and support the riders in English and Western equitation.

The two man drill team will practice this coming weekend.

Look for more updates and posts about Chisholm Challenge to come.

Ride on and ride for hope.
