At volunteer orientation, the concentration is on volunteers to work with riders, whether it be side walker, horse leader and the like. These are the immediate volunteer needs. Yet there is a myriad of volunteer duties that are available.
Special projects pop up all the time. Projects which, if volunteers are not available, come down to Dave and/or Sharla to do. Repairing parts of paddocks, improving the surface of the paddocks, and trimming and clearing trees and brush are just a few of the projects that are ongoing and recurring.
As well as moving and laying down dirt like Dave is doing in the pictures. And basic chores around an
Equine Therapy Center other than feeding and caring for the horses.
If you would like to volunteer – and we would love to have you – go to the New Hope website volunteer page and follow the instructions. If the type of projects I mentioned are up your alley, use the “Other” category and let us know how you are interested in volunteering.
However you would like to volunteer, New Hope has a place for you!
You can also buy tickets to the Gala on Friday, the 25th, and help out that way.
Ride on and ride for hope.
