What brought you to New Hope to volunteer?
I recently retired and moved to Denton. I was looking for a volunteer opportunity when I found New Hope.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I was a Registered Nurse for 46 years. I am a wife and mom to two grown kids. I have always loved horses. I rode horses when I was in my 20’s.
Favorite horse?
They all have different personalities. So it’s hard to pick just one. I like all of them.
Favorite part of volunteering at NH?
I am enjoying meeting new people and helping the riders.
How has volunteering affected you?
It gives me a purpose after retiring. It makes me feel useful and gives me a good feeling to be able to help people.
