Lana is in the older age spectrum at New Hope as far as riders are concerned, illustrating that equine therapy – and New Hope – is for all ages. Lana is a personable woman who loves riding Tommy.
The first time I took pictures of Lana’s lesson on Tuesday morning, no one knew I was coming. After she dismounted from Tommy, she said if I had let her know I was coming, she could have put on make-up. It was when it was still hot and we were all sweating.
So I was sure to let her know I was coming when I took the pictures you see here. Lana sat in the golf cart while Tommy was brought from his paddock. They shared kisses before Tommy was tacked up for the ride. Then the pictures tell the story.
Ride on and ride for hope.
I was a volunteer horse leader and worked with Lana and Tommy several times. I was inspired by Lana and her love for tommy. The benefits ot the New Hope program are amazing!
