The weather is certainly an indicator that Thanksgiving is on the way and then a hop, skip, and a jump until the Christmas/New Years season. Which means that it’s time to begin practicing for Chisholm Challenge, January 13 – 15 when equine therapy centers in North Texas come together to compete and give the riders a chance to show off their riding skills.
This year New Hope has several riders who have been
riding for a number of years and now will be old enough to compete in the Chisholm Challenge (CC), like Robbie. And Tonya, our first rider of the Horses Helping Heroes program, will also be riding at CC for the first time.
Chisholm Challenge is the unofficial opening event of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. FWSSR donates the use of the John Justin Arena and other amenities to Chisholm Challenge staff and volunteers.
